Not all Scientists are hard core Materialists. You don't seem intelligent enough to know the difference....now you might like to post that to the correct person, brumar & his anti "materialism crusade". The quantity of idiotic diversion based simplistic thought going on here never ceases to amaze. Few scientists in the philosophic sense would describe themselves as pure "physicalists" but aren't going to break out the Tarot cards & Astrology maps either. We are more highly evolved social animals, with complex nervous systems with pattern seeking brains and memory capacity, at least we like to think so. Again, defining "matter" is a good place to start, rather than just throwing out terms that are supposed to mean something & baby logic.
