I have no problem with Jesus. By all accounts, he was a nice Jewish boy. He was also just another member of the Failed Messiah of the Month Club, but with a good PR firm, which convinced people they didn't have to follow the 10 Commandments and a lot of other rules. I don't follow some of the rules mice elf, so I can relate.
I think I can talk my way out of "Don't eat bacon". It's gonna be a lot harder for some to get around "Thou shalt worship no other" and "graven images" and such, but that's their problem.

We are all the Sons and Daughters of God, or maybe our forebears were the Parents of God.

" invented outrageous stories"

10 plagues and Red Sea parting is pretty outrageous. Burning bushes that talk are outrageous. Whale regurgitating human is outrageous. Dead guy rising is outrageous. A discarded acorn basket becoming a rock formation in Yosemite is outrageous. The rape of Europa is outrageous. Chained guy in Russia having his liver eaten by bird cuz he stole fire is outrageous. Atlas and Turtle are outrageous. That's why religion requires faith; it makes the outrageous normal, and gives us some might good stories, along with the moral foundation and the rules to run the society of the day.
