It is perfectly logical. A statement of atheistic non-belief is a statement of certainty. It is a statement that dismisses a whole body of theistic ideas and institutions persisting across time and circumstance, with certainty.

That makes no sense!

All the atheist is saying is that they don't believe. They are not saying they know anything.

It is the believers who say they know, which goes directly against the thesis of your post!
