"I disagree with you there"
That is, of course, your prerogative.
I don't profess to be an authority on the degree of excellence, or otherwise, of the education system in the USA. As I mentioned previously, I have listened to several commentaries from those who were invited to talk on the subject due to their regarded understanding of the topic.
Maybe the following articles from several diverse sources could, in some way, support my contention ....

The two areas that have been of special concern to those enthusiastic about improving education in the USA have been in the disciplines of Mathematics and Science. It seems that students in the Far East, especially in China, are showing far greater ability and performance in that regard.
I noted the following several references in your post, especially that which is highlighted and underlined ....
" .... have the outlet for the stupid and uneducated ..."
" .... will just further antagonize the stupid children- of whom there are plenty"
"What do you do with stupid people" ?
I, for one, would be interested to know where in the USA's society you believe one would generally find these "stupid children" and "stupid people" ?
And, conversely, where do you believe one would generally find "The best and the brightest" that you referred to ? |
