Apparently not fine tuned enough for everlasting life, all things perish, decay, all things pass away.
So only Buddha consciousness would be the eternal?
Gets very interesting, you must admit, things can be believed in the mind that are untrue & still be beneficial, that is one school of thought called Fallibilism, we see this all the time in human history with all the many religions, people that grew up watching Walt Disney affected by reading fairytales, folklore & heroic stories. en.wikipedia.org
Or Christianity, the religion of empire where we each soul attempt that same mimicry in nature, to be like him is to be eternal, protected from demons & satan, hence the robes, the renunciation, vows, ritual blood drinking & body eating etc. The mind needs these outward rituals that are grounded in the outward material, always, says much, that it is still brain/body connected. Then to have that perfect socialist "City of Light" Utopia appear here on earth, each unto each's needs & abilities, as imagined in that mind of God ;o)
Much like a clam & its protective shell, an imagined spiritual body armor, so to speak. |
