No Way.

56K ONLY works at high speed in ONE direction (from the ISP to you), and even that ONLY when the ISP has a direct DIGITAL link to the telephone system at the telephone central office. In theory, that means that with respect to internet audio you could LISTEN at 56K, but you could only talk at 33.6. The problem is that this is also true for the person on the other end of the conversation, and since you can't listen faster than he can talk, and vice versa, 56k modems are of no practical benefit with regard to internet telephony by users with dial up modem connections.
