Well, this morning we have Obama asking the CEO's to help the long term unemployed. Like right wingers he keeps going to business for answers. The CEO's are not going to do anything just because he asks them to. That is magical thinking. He doesn't seem to understand it is demand that creates jobs, not "job creaters". If there is demand someone will meet it with a job. And his own government employees know much more about creating jobs than CEO's. And his economic policies will do the most. Just spend the money. We need income redistribution! That is the hard truth. I am not sure he buys into that. If he implemented a large stimulus program for green energy and infrastructure lots of jobs would be created. I can't believe how much he has bought into the right wing myth of job creation. And he has to deal specifically with the problems now, not some amorphous future time. That sort of musing never gets anyone anywhere. I am glad to see him raise the minimum wage. Now if he would do much more of that, wherever he can. And as Rachel said we Dems need to keep pounding the drum of raising the minimum wage.
