Larry and All - Those that are curious about shorting at market
on the opening, I had to test it this morning. I placed an order
to short 500 shares at market which opened at 23 3/4. It ticked
downward, and my order was executed at 23 9/16, because the
rules require an uptick. It is a gamble, and this was the result
of that test. Had I known that it would have only been a 3/16
difference, I think that I would have gone for more.
Stock at 9:45 now at 23 1/16.
