Paul: You're right, if I indulge in a little paranoia I'd swear my "chuckles" orders are having an effect. Yeah, like a butterfly's wings in South America effecting the climate in the Northeast(Chaos theory, an apt. title for what VLNC is undergoing).
As for VLNC, obviously we're getting hammered, and hammered down hard right now. And with the Dow opening down this morning(last check the S&P futures was down approx 9 points--a negative opening indicator) combined with the continued blowoff in the tech sector, I look for further weakness from VLNC. The only thing which will mitigate this(and that's maybe) is a public pronouncement out of VLNC assuaging concerns(or justifying them, god forbid). Barring that, in the streets eyes there's nothing to support VLNC, and the MM's will continue to have the field day they're currently having.
A parenthetical aside. One poster mentioned that when small cap stocks like VLNC, or ULBI, with small floats and in relatively few hands, are on the verge of major news they often retrenched severely prior to the news. This may in fact be going on here. An example, look at ULBI in the days before its recent Mitsubishi announce. It went from roughly $19 a share down to the $13 range before rebounding to approximately $16 where, tada, they announced their Mitsubishi extended contract. Could this be what's happening with VLNC? The pattern appears to be unfolding in the same manner.
In any case, we could use some management support right now. Time for that P.R. person to earn their money.
Regards!
