Hi Marty,

I have almost given up on the government - just like I have Reg. I believe you can only go so far in cleaning up the air before bad things happen to the economy. The cost of cleaning up the air here in California has been huge. I have a gasoline station and because of the Clean Air Act, I have had to spend $150,000 to comply with their requirements on fuel containment and fuel dispensing. The stations which have not complied by December of 1998, will be shut down. I admit that where I live the air has become cleaner over the past 5 years but where do we end this madness. I'm convinced that Reg doesn't have anything to offer and the experts know it. Everytime Reg puts one of their ads in the paper, the stock takes a dive.
Anyway, both the government and Reg give me something to complain about.

John S.
