This time with a series of tweets perceived by some as unnecessary public criticisms of Israel, Breitbart.com reported. Her defense comes as Israeli leaders have openly denounced what they perceived as a veiled threat from Mr. Kerry to boycott the nation if peace talks with Palestinians fail. Ms. Rice’s Monday night social media messages began with this: “Personal attacks in Israel directed at Sec. Kerry totally unfounded and unacceptable.” A minute later, she shot out this one: “John Kerry’s record of support for Israel’s security and prosperity rock solid.” Again, one minute later: “POTUS and Sec Kerry remain committed to negotiations that can secure Israeli and Palestinian futures.” And one more, right after: “U.S. Govt has been clear and consistent that we reject efforts to boycott or delegitimize Israel.” Ms. Rice was the key face of the White House following the Benghazi attacks that left dead Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. Her repeated mantra at the time: The attacks began over a brief video made in America and posted to YouTube that the Muslim world perceived as anti-Islam.
