I've thought, and could be wrong that Fidelity actually trades in the stock prior to payment. (can't remember who told me that though).
I did question TD Ameritrade once about it and was told they only reinvest after the cash has been received..
Always seems TD shares show up 2 days after the pay date.
we'll see, looking for T,VZ and I think a leftover from FCX which I had sold.

PS: and bought a little GLP today
