ALL (fyi) PHONE FIGHT! The FCC rejected requests by three local phone companies to delay opening their markets to competition. The FCC says the companies, incl US West Comm, GTE, and Southern New England Telephone, failed to show that they wouled suffer "irreparable harm" if a stay was not granted. GTE and US West say they are appealing. (USA Today) James
