As a long term Qcom strong bull, I sold out yesterday. Plan to buy back in in low 50s. Korean situation is truly dire. It looks like most of the country, from most/all banks to most/all Chaebol are effectively bankrupt, way under water.

There is also huge popular resistance to the IMF conditions. Expecta anti American, anti Japananese riots soon. Which ain't exactly going over big in Congress when they review the US contributions to the above IMF levels bailout. Imagine same thing in Japan.

More importantly, it looks like the Koreans are gonna just about stop ALL discretionary spending for a while, until they figure out whre they stand.

I think cell phones contititue discretionary spending.

4th calendar Q numbers will probably be good, but after that, problems.

And this isn't gonna take a couple of months to work through. More like a couple of years. Although after six - 12 months maybe things stop getting worse and start getting better ----slowly.

Or so its seeming to me.
