The problem is that they have to be huge to move the revenue/profit needle.

That is a often repeated (and reasonable) statement but, Apple has sold nearly 700 million high end devices. Their installed base is a significant asset. It is loyal. The loyal installed base and the ecosystem that Apple has carefully built leverages new products like a wearable device, a mobile payment system, and a television subscription service.

At Apple's valuation moving the revenue needle by $20 billion would have a material positive impact on the share price imv. The foundation for new products having that impact or greater is firmly there and underestimated.
