If anyone I loved were murdered, my relationship and my connections ought to make no difference under law as to the punishment given the perpetrator. I have mentioned previously what I consider the ideal moral solution to all criminal acts where violence is committed by sane people: They ought to be removed to a large area of land where they can live in their own society with the moral values they have chosen. They ought to be given a knife as a tool and a weapon (if needed) and allowed to live with their own kind of people--at no expense to the taxpayer other than the impenetrable fencing and the military sniper/guards.
