I doubt residential customers are much affected by the NG spot price, since their utilities generally have long-term contracts. Still, many will have extra-high bills because of increased usage during the cold weather.

LPG is in very short supply, and some rural customers are getting gouged on tank refills.

Electical utilities in certain tight markets like NYC have briefly paid astronomical prices (up to 10 x spot price!) on the NG spot market to keep their turbines running.

US natural gas is still reasonably priced on an historical basis, with the spot price just below the 10-year (520-week) moving average...
