Chinu I think we are losing a generation of young adults here as a result. I also see the work ethic of young 20 something American kids going to hell unfortunately at least from my experience in recent years. Combine that with the slack entry level opportunities for them, boomers staying in the labor force much longer than thought, the globalization, the technology, the high costs of education, health care, housing many have given up and become slackers addicted to Facebook, Video Games and their techno gadgets and it ain't looking good.

I have always thought us who come from or are a generation or two removed from the immigrant experience are much hungrier, have much more of a can do mentality than long time natives whose family goes back a hundred years or more. NYC and SF as prime examples starting from their fast growth days during the Gilded Age really ramping up post WW 2 boom where upward mobility and that can do spirit were at it's finest..

We can talk all we want about plutocrats, the wealth disparity and the right wing but this is a multifaceted problem these days IMHO. Sure we need more wealth equality, more upward mobility, less investment in the MIC and wars with much more investment in infrastructure, education and the R&D incubators that will foster an environment where we create the next new thing

OT: Out of the mainstream candidates on either side the only one I'd vote for is Hillary.
