The underlying political dynamic is the populist skewing that is occurring because of the effect of the racism the republicans are able to array against the Dems because of Obama

Consider if the incumbent president was white

It is unimaginable that the GOP would be able to maintain any significant political presence without the support they receive from voters who are willing to subordinate their own well being to their racial hatred

I believe that this is a powder keg for the GOP though

They will not be able to escape their bad behaviour for 8 years once a white dem is inaugurated

It could be that a female might give them a bit of an extension on their hateful actions, but there is no way the total disrespect for the office of the POTUS, again occupied by a white person, will be as tolerated within the electorate as it has been under Obama

...and this is a national disgrace
