"From yesterday's conference call, it seems clear that the company also expects flat March quarter."

Where do you get that from? The conf call I heard said that next quarter should be better. DLT revenue will increase once the transition issues to DLT7000 are worked out within this qtr. Also, they will have a somewhat higher product mix in disk drives which will start really impacting the bottom line in qtr ending June.

I think they couldn't have picked a worse time to warn and we shareholders are paying the price. If warning came out at 27 we'd be sitting above 21 now. Instead we got hit with multiple warnings from SEG, WDC, APM, and our own. Also Korean timing is impeccable.

Some of us are going to reduce holdings and just sit on this stock for 18 months. Disk drive sector is cyclical and QNTM is looking pekid from all this disk drive trouble, but everyone is dropping production and the Japanese/Korean manufacturers are really going to be waylaid by their country's financial problems. Short term things look bleak. Long term this is still a growth stock.

Oh well, looks like after taking major losses to radically bring down my yearly gains, I'm going to have to become a long-term investor now.
