Richard: before watching the Live Indicators of a stock, here is what I do:

1) I watch the market opening and wait for the market to establish itself.

2) I watch the largest point gainers/losers for stocks to play. As well as the typical bell weather stocks and any stocks i have carried in my watchlist list from previous days.

3) I watch the DOW intraday chart throughout the day and will often time my entry/exits points with the DOW in mind. I also watch the NASDAQ and U.S. long bond, and other lesser indicators (TRIN,TICK,OEX,etc. etc.)

4) I find out the reason for the movement in the stock I am considering trading by scanning Briefing.Com, or other news service.

5) I glance at the daily chart of the stock to get an idea what trend, if any, is in place.

6) At this point I begin watching th Live Indicators to time my entry point. Once in, I continue to watch the DOW chart as well as the Live Indicators to time my exit. I use mental and sometimes hard stops of 2- 5%.
