I don't often go to sources that are openly for one end of the political spectrum or the other.

Well, from what I read on several SI politico boards, both the right AND the left get "emotionally involved" for their own, chosen reasons.
At the end of the day it's that cherished Democratic process that must come into play and decide what it is that the majority want with regard to how their country is governed.
Takes a lot, IMO, to beat "Government of the People, By the People, For the People".
So I'd suggest, even from a continent half a world away, that if there's stuff going on in your country that you would like to change, then put the "By the People" part into action via the Democratic process and utilize, where necessary, the Independent Judiciary.
It seems that one of the few times that a country's citizenry puts aside their political differences is when they join together and put on their uniforms to combat whatever is threatening their country or their way of life ....
Unfortunately as soon as all return home it seems to start all over again .... |
