It should be noted after the great hoopla and an entire week on the NYT best seller list, "Darwin's Doubt" slipped off into the primordial soup where it belongs. Phillip E Johnson's "Darwin on Trial" fell into the bog just as soon during its time, right after Eugenie Scott successfully evolved a new orfice for Phil Johnson he never knew he had.
Unlike ID'iers that don't ever offer solutions, testifiable theories or even a mind experiment or two, i did find my own mind being drawn to thoughtful imaging of reasons such relative sudden appearance of structures would appear in that aquatic environment, most of which appeared to be defensive in nature.
This idea of "Natures Arms" race has great appeal to my own imagination now, fits right in to what we already know well to be the case in Nature, as much as falsifying distortionists over at Disco.dummies.com would whine to the contrary. There are natural pressures & forces at work here, as to whether they are blind or not is just a matter of semantics, like "Evolution is a theory", when everyone knows its a fact. |
