V-22 Osprey...thinking of Natures arms race easily reminded by the human arms race, building new machines for adapting to the conditions which new threats may be met. Building upon themes incorporating two earlier successful structures into a hybridized model one strategy. The new machine/technology has to pass rigorous testing for survivability in the field.

When one imagine billions upon billions of such trials & adaptations made in the fierce fires of the moment by moment struggles life, over billions of years, a literal arms race of prey vs predator, very easy to imagine if you try.

These have twice the speed & range of any helicopter, verticle landing & take off, will be hopefully very
successful for our base protecting interests in the gulf, horn of Africa against the threats from Somalia.
