I remember some time ago you mentioning your friend who died skiing...........what a tragedy all the way around.

There was a really hard push for laws making it illegal to ski without a helmet after Sonny Bono died when he hit a tree while skiing at Tahoe. None of those efforts created a law, but a lot of ski areas won't let kids ski without helmets, and a lot of adults have taken to wearing them including me. Like wearing a seat belt, helmets give you a sense of security, and they also do a wonderful job of keeping your head warm. I wouldn't ski without one now.

We had quite the day yesterday. First we went to the RV show at Century Link Field. It was fairly crowded, but thankfully there was a large selection of RVs. We aren't sure we'll buy something bigger than Dusty, but if we do it will be used strictly for snow birding during the winter. We found the rig we'd like to buy, but we would first like to go down south and check out a few areas to see if this is what we really want to do. As usual, we're conflicted about whether to buy a travel trailer big enough to live in for a few months every winter, or maybe just renting a place for a month or two here and there. We're a yr or two away from going to the areas we want to visit. We'll start in AZ and also look in TX and NM.

After spending 4 1/2 hrs downtown, we drove home and had about an hour before we were due for dinner at 6:30 at the Barking Frog restaurant. We freshened up, changed our cloths and got there right on time. For the next 3 hours we were treated to the best food we literally have ever eaten. Each course was incredibly unusual and absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a chance to go. Up till last night we'd only had cocktails and appetizers at the Barking Frog, but it is now my favorite restaurant, and I want to eat there for every special occasion.

Yesterday was our 38th wedding anniversary, and we had a really wonderful time.
