Many of these arguments(discussions-whatever) are based on misunderstanding which leads to miscommunication which leads to resentment and polarization. One example is that most on this board consider themselves either R's or D;s and further label themselves as conservatives® or liberal(D). The truth is that the R's aren't conservative and the D's aren't liberal when it comes to their voting constituencies. Both parties serve the corporate elite, just in slightly different ways. The link i-node posted seems to clearly state that the CBO ended up using Mulligan's data so I think it's safe to say his data is factual in its essence. Obamacare will cause around 2.5 million workers to work less. Another way to look at it is this way. That(ACA) is another nail in the coffin for the poor to rise above their station in life. I personally don't believe this is an accident. The tax code is geared to maximize economic pressure on the middle class, not the 1% and up. The tax code and laws like O-care are devilishly clever in keeping the "poor" in their place and use taxes from the middle class(those subsidies for O-care have to come from some place) while the 1% distance themselves even further form the lower economic rungs of society. "benefits" of the ACA higher taxes on the middle class more people relegated to gov't soup lines overall crappier health care at higher prices windfall legislated for the health insurance industry high end facilities can now direct their energies to serving just the 1% theere are other things we can address, but overall, the ACA is a travesty for the vast majority of Americans
