Persians...why or how would they have persuaded the Hebrews .... King Cyrus setting them free, financing their temple might have engendered some admiration? Such generosity, example of wisdom,huge magnanimity, must have seemed a divine inspiration. The "Hebrews" were worshipping all kinds of little gods & goddesses, their monotheism forms later, only after contact with the great organized influence of the far more highly evolved Persians, from those ideas all & most of the OT is found and was/is pure plagiarism. The Maccabees centuries later complete the charade in their propganda, nothing was revealed, all was self scripted fable. (by order of who else, the King & priests & private scribes)
You see only the politics & economics here,cloaked in religious ritual, pure Darwinism in the psychology of centralized authority,ablitity to extract taxes, command attention & strict obeyance, if it was all so sacred you would be sacrificing goats & little quail birds today, ah, but things evolve dont they?
