The previous record was set at the end of September 2013, before a series of car fires sent shares into a two-month tailspin. The maker of luxury electric sports sedans closed at $120.5 on Nov. 26, before beginning a comeback. Last month, Tesla said it had sold nearly 6,900 vehicles in the fourth quarter, 20% more than expected.
