Compare the wireless industry's size today with several years ago when McCaw sold to AT&T and you'll easily see how we'll get to $100 a share and beyond.

It's a lot more competitive today which is why NXTL must be worth less than McCaw Cellular.

You may think that the price action over the past six month or so validates some cockeyed valuation theories floated in this thread, but it is not. Nextel is a part-momentum, part-concept stock, driven by sentiment and not necessarily fundamentals. Therein lies the risk: for instance, should Nextel reveal that its subscribers growth is slowing down due to increased competition from PCS providers - not an unlikely scenario - it'll be a $15 stock overnight.
