Ted Cruz once again stands tall and will NOT allow a simple 51 votes in the Senate to pass the debt limit raise. McConnell and his Republican party cronies wanted to allow a simple 51 vote majority so that no Republicans would have to join with the 55 Democrats to reach the 60 required votes. Now at least 5 Republicans will have to vote for the bill to reach the 60 votes required. So now, probably all the Democrats will have to vote for the debt limit raise.....even those facing tough elections in states Obama lost. Also.....who will be the Republicans to vote for this thing........unfortunately far too many candidates
McCain, Ayotte, Kirk, Chambliss, Corker, Alexander, Collins, Flake, etc. It's pretty clear.....Ted Cruz is the one of the very few real conservatives who will fight for conservative principles.........Congress is simply incapable of reforming themselves............I fear a total economic collapse before any meaningful changes.
