The animal spirit and can do thinking somehow gets lost once many become too Americanized all IMHO. I am first generation myself btw..

it's kind of sad, really. to become "americanized" used to mean learning english, working hard, taking pride in self-sufficiency, aiming for success in whatever field is chosen, over-coming obstacles, valuing education, giving something back.

now, to become "americanized" means shopping at the mall and watching tv.
