Obama References 'Alex' de Tocqueville
......................................................................
Youtube ^ | 2/12/14 | Daniel Halper

President Obama referenced "Alex" de Tocqueville in today's remarks at the White House

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He has probably NEVER read De Toqueville IN HIS LIFE (and certainly is not capable of understanding it)

I blame TOTUS. At least he didn't pronounce the last name as Dee-To-kway Vill-ee. Must have been spelled phonetically on the screen.

That's Alex S. DeTocqueville to you, Barry-baby.

But at least he doesn't say Eric Clapner.

To “O”, Alexis de Tocqueville isn’t a caution to freedom loving individuals, but wish fulfilling prophesy of totalitarian oppression.

When Levin played the audio yesterday, I immediately thought Obama got tongue-tied and was about to say ‘Alice B Toklas’.

Alice B Toklas - Alexis de Tocqueville

Easy mistake. Or maybe Tel E Prompter was just screwing with him again and changed the wording on the screen.

In the 2010 midterm elections, the Republican Party won the majority in the House of Representatives.

Tocqueville’s famous quote, “The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.”

Hmm, His ‘read between the lines’, inference?

Or, like Tocqueville’s father, he subscribes to the Bourbon monarchy?

h never read it and his handlers were equally unfamiliar with the book. I just finished reading it for the first time and came away with the distinct impression that Alexis found the answer to his motivation in coming here to study America.

He wanted to find out why Democracy worked here and didn’t in France.

His answer was that we were built democratically from the small town basis up; not from the top down.

Obama wouldn’t understand either the question or the answer.

As a result, Alexic de Tocqueville began spinning in his grave so rapidly that he could provide all the alternative energy for America that Obama could ever want.

As the Latin proverb has it, Obama locutus est, causa finita est. From now on, Tocqueville's first name is Alex, and anyone who insists on calling him "Alexis" is a racist who doesn't like Obama because of his color.

You are very mistaken! Alex deTokeVille was the 3rd member of the choom gang that eventually went on to play for the Miami HeatS.
