Today and tomorrow will be great buying opportunities, and likely
into next week

Sadly, instead of taking advantage of the opportunities, I'll be trying to come up with $ to cover my margin. Hopefully, I will take some lessons out of this. 1) Don't be too anxious to buy- I bought in at $32 and was not disciplined enough to wait until it hit bottom. BB, I commend you on your discipline. 2) Never margin to the hilt, esp. in times of uncertainty like we are currently experiencing. I thought I was through begging $ out of my dad with my teenage years. Like they say: "the more things change..." 3) Buy and hold may not always work for the stocks in this sector. I should have sold LRCX in the 60's this past August; it had no earnings to support that valuation and was clearly due for a pullback. 4) Reevaluate the valuation given to the stocks in my portfolio. At $108, AMAT was not the compelling buy it was when I bought in at $25. In this case risk was beginning to outweigh the reward. 5) This one is probably the most important of all: Listen to what the Bears are saying. They could have good reason for their beliefs. There are probably more I'll add in the coming weeks. Any contributions by others would be appreciated since one does not lose 50% of his portfolio w/o gaining some insight into themselves.

PS I could probably add one more: 6) NEVER doubt Big Bucks ;-)

Regards,

Brian
