Hi RtS,

Like you I have some very long term holds in this sector.

I've been thinking that the many mergers and consolidation combined with fortress like balance sheets and strong free cash flows would sooner or later result in the markets favor and give us a break out.

I've been once bit twice shy on this thought for over 6-8 years.

It would trully be wonderful if Amat could show us a breakout in the equipment sector.

One thing for sure, intc, csco, msft have also been range bound and still do not show revenue growth.

With the many acquisitions Csco has done - revnue growth should be evident yet it is declining.

These are so big, revenue growth is a hard accomplishment. The many smaller more nimble competitors take market share with a veangence.

With Amat's merger of Vsea and now Tokyo electron - they may get to that size, but I hope they can provide leadership for the smaller survivors.

It would be wonderful - no doubt.
