Hang in there, Brian, and good luck. Steve Rolfe, regardless of what the fundamentals look like in a vacuum, if Tech Company X (including AMAT) halved its earnings estimates, in today's jittery market you can be certain the market would give it a severe beating. Oracle's numbers were only 17% below estimates. Given Tuesday's volume, I doubt anyone stopped to recalculate ORCL's P/E ratio before selling.
