What was the trend for M2 when Bush Jr. was in office.

I don't remember any "tight money" policies then either. Even when the Republicans controlled the White House and both the Senate and House.

And Obama inherited a MESS from Bush. Not exactly the time to clamp down on the money supply.

I'm not trying to stick up for Obama, I just don't think we're at the point of idiocy that Venezuela and Argentina have reached and I don't think we're gonna get there any time soon.
