Unlike some people, I like to consider what people say. <where you can ignore constructive criticism better than you can,> One of the great things about these discussions is that people correct wonky ideas. I ditch many of my ideas when people show me my mistakes. But when the constructive criticism is wrong, I prefer to not just ignore them, but to write why they have got it wrong.

What you really mean is "simply accept what I write". That's what the Global Alarmists say "Just bloody well shut up and accept our Settled Science". They are not alone in that style of thinking.

The fact that some people want huge SUVs to go fishing with a mini-motorbike or small car in tow doesn't mean billions of other people wouldn't like a cute little Halo fast-swap battery-powered electric car. I have explained that the "constructive criticism" about big expensive gantry cranes and Lithuanian weight lifters is wrong. The constructive critics took the trouble to think carefully about fast-swap electric cars so it's only polite to explain why Lithuanian gantry cranes and huge expensive failing batteries is the wrong idea.
