My point is... you appear to be flogging a brand here... and it isn't worth much of my time to engage you in addressing the features, flaws, benefits, or lack of them, etc., of the BRAND you are flogging. That brand doesn't appear to me to add much to the topic ?

Otherwise, airlines have pilots... only because people won't get on an airplane that doesn't have them. There isn't much doubt, that in most tasks... the computers would do a better job, including flying, just as they would do a better job of driving... which doesn't mean people will trust getting in an airplane that doesn't have a human at the controls... or will choose to not drive themselves... even though they are vastly more dangerous drivers.

"The fact that some people want huge SUVs to go fishing with a mini-motorbike or small car in tow doesn't mean billions of other people wouldn't like a cute little Halo fast-swap battery-powered electric car."

No, the fact that billions of other people wouldn't like a cute little Halo fast-swap battery-powered electric car is proven by the fact that there aren't billions of people clammering for them.

We're telling you why. You don't want to hear it. And, in response to the objections shown... which, even though loosely presented, appear perfectly valid... you provide engineering data. IT ISN'T ABOUT ENGINEERING DATA.

People want what they want... and trust plays a big role in what they want. I think many people are probably correct... to not want unproven technologies in their garages... and they're right to be suspicious about them, just as they're right to be skeptical about genetically engineered foods...

That's not about "global warming" ? It's about marketing... how people consider their choices... product design... a specific BRAND of device... which doesn't have a unique contribution to make... TO THIS DISCUSSION... whatever else its market impact might be... ?

Maybe Coca-Cola contributes less to global warming than Pepsi ? Feel free to discuss:
