Unfortunately, if you say that to someone so obtuse as to have actually said in all seriousness that they ought to "teach both sides and let everyone decide for themselves", they could only look at you puzzled. It is bad enough they are forced to humour those of us who do not know the truth of Jesus and that the devil is using science to fool people. Shintoism? Taoism? They have vaguely heard the words...if they could only remember where...
