Boy are you missing a huge issue. You don't care about for profit prisons? You don't care about how many people we incarcerate for drug crimes? You don't care about the seizures of property? You don't care about how this unequally hits minorities? Really?

The military can be seen as one huge welfare program. I look at it that way. It employs people. In many ways the military is the kind of government democrats like- a jobs program.
