I have been following this thread for years. I felt compelled to jump in and finally leave a post. BB, good job you called it. I think that if one has the cash to set aside and wait, a large investment in both AMAT and ORCL will provide huge returns in the next 12 - 18 months. Off the subject, I think Boeing and Travelers are also good bets. In the short term, the obvious stated, I think companies with limited exposure to Asia and Europe will benefit (GAP, etc). The problem with Asia and Europe is a double hit to U.S. companies. Exports go down due to the cost of those companies doing business with us, and the sales which the U.S. companies do have in those countries lose out on the U.S. F/S in the form of the currency conversion due to the strength of the dollar. We should see the affect soon on most major U.S. global companies. I hope I can add some value to the thread. On the cuff, since this is my first post to thread, I put a target price on AMAT at 12/11/98 at $50-......... C-Ya soon
