I think the ASIAN exposure of hi-tech companies is overplayed.

NSM as an example just reported numbers a few days ago and beat estimates. Yet they do 34% of biz. in ASIA. Another example is TSMC Taiwans largest wafer fab, they just announced excellent profits in last few days.

The reason is that manufacturers in Taiwan, China, HK, Korea etc. buy these components and then promptly export the end product to US, Europe etc.

So due to ASIAN currency debacle these exporters will be even hungrier for foreign exchange so will cut prices and export more.

In addition all semi's perform majority of packaging and test offshore so their costs will decrease.

The only significant ASIAN semiconductor CONSUMER to worry about is Japan.

If Japan falls we will have major problems.

Now someone like Gucci on your list is a completely different animal. They will probably have major problems.

I hope investors will dig deeper and attempt to understand what's going on than just sell those stocks on your list due to ASIAN exposure.

Best Regards,

Kash
