I believe in our state a person under 18 is not allowed to drive with friends in their car without being accompanied by an adult? I had an accident 4 days after my 16th birthday. It started raining on my way home from downtown, and the streets soon became quite slick. My inexperience really showed that day. No one was hurt badly, but the car was totaled, and I tied up rush hour traffic for quite awhile. The other drivers were furious and let me know about it. A really humiliating experience.
