I appreciate your transparency but I'm skeptical of your takeaway. Fear of losses??? I laugh in your face. I got fear of wins, they might not be big enough to satisfy my large appetite. Show me something I can’t overcome, I dare you. Overcome your fears and your success will be grand !!! Dream the Dream, Live the Dream and Never Ever Settle for Anything LESS !!! If your recklessness had resulted in your death, you wouldn't be here telling us the philosophy to be derived from your experiences. It's just dumb luck that you've survived - there's no meaning beyond that. You are highly intelligent but you underestimate or willfully ignore the long tail risk. If you have no fear of total loss, then that's fine, but it's not the advice that promotes long term health and well-being. Maybe in your case a life without big wins is not a life worth living, and therefore the risk is reasonable. If the whole species was wired that way, it would have become extinct ages ago.
