It would appear to me that a price war is ALREADY underway. There is this story from Jan 8 about
lowered prices Message 29319496 And this one from Jan 16 making reference to "China Mobile
(0941) will start selling the latest iPhone in the mainland tomorrow, joining a price war with its two
rivals, China Unicom (0762) and China Telecom (0728), which launched the smartphone last year."
