Nonsense.

In certain, very limited contexts, that may occur. But it is neither inevitable nor is it widespread.

The Left's favorite example of free markets gone awry, Walmart, was just cited by Chris in an article where a new competitor was on the rise -- one with a fundamentally different business model yet totally free to compete with evil Walmart.

Markets are free, for the most part. If government stays the hell out.

And consistently, when government gets involved, resource allocation goes to hell. So, while free markets may not be perfect, we don't have anything even CLOSE to their efficiency and effectiveness with which to replace them.

As to your Adam Smith comment, without some context that comment is worse than meaningful it is misleading.
