Jim and others,
re:>>I've only had trouble with Matrox Millenium II and 6x86L-PR200.<<

thanks for responding.
My concern about the sound card is that i heard some creative cards are not fully compatible and I was wondering if anyone could comment on this.
If i was to upgrade my sound card, what should i buy?
Do i need a total hardware solution that does not download any processing to the CPU?
the next question is whether the monster sound 3d card adds any real value? It is only an upgrade to the existing sound card. I know that more games are being updated to include 3d sound enhancement but this could get pretty spendy.
anyone else have thoughts or comments?

thanks again,
steve
