I think the realists among the Christie folk see their number one priority is to remain as governor--to try to avoid threats of forced resignation or impeachment. If they can do that, then they can consider 2020. I think, but don't know for certain, that the NJ gubernatorial tenure is capped at two terms. His present term would expire in 2017.
