I watched Maddow on the Bill Maher episode -- maybe you or someone posted here. I think phony may be a good characterization.

Maher was bringing up the fact that MSNBC has just gone nuts about Christie, essentially bashing him 24/7, and Maddow was trying to defend it. She came across as totally phony, trying to suggest the Christie incident was somehow on par with the Blago story, which if you think about it, is absurd.
