"I don't think Google Samsung problems make Apple a buy.

It has to be new products at this time. Nobody has a clue really except those at Apple."

That depends entirely on why one is buying Apple. For me AAPL shares are part of a 30+ position dividend growth portfolio, with the emphasis on dividend growth. this past year Apple gave me a 15% pay raise. That is 7.5 times the COLA we get with one of our pensions and 11 times the COLA we get in two other pensions. Over all of our positions last year, our dividend growth was around 10% - and we are reinvesting the dividends which gives it a bit more juice.

Right now if we took the dividends as cash, they would amount to about 10% of our total retirement income, growing at a much faster rate than our pensions or SS.

Share prices fluctuate, income increases. That has been the game plan since exiting Apple options (for the most part) in late 2012 and early 2013. Guess what? It is working just fine!
